Domains, hosting and transferring from siterubix.com

I have several domains that are all hosted at hostgator, where I have a hosting account. I know that I can host here at WA for free, but since I have the hosting package, I thought of hosting them as usual at HG. Since my starter membership will be up in just over 3 days and I will need to upgrade, I am thinking slightly ahead to what I should do...

Do I:

(a) Buy the domain name and host as usual at HG? If so, what would I need to do to get my site that I am building here in siterubix transferred?

(b) Transfer my other sites here to WA to be hosted? Most of them are replicated sites.

(c) Buy the domain name and host at WU, transferring the siterubix to the domain name I would then own? What are the steps involved in that? I am familiar and more or less comfortable with c-panel.

Thanks!

I think the majority of Members find WA hosting meets their needs but if you want "full featured" hosting then you currently have to host externally. Here's a couple of pieces of training that might help https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/transferring-from-siterubix-to-your-own-domain and https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/how-to-transfer-a-wp-site-to-wa-hosting Rich.

Oh my! This all looks terribly complicated already, just from reading the instructions. I wonder if it will look any less daunting after some sleep?

Rich, what is the difference between WA hosting and "full featured" hosting as you call it?

I'm afraid that depends on who you host with and what features they provide. If for example you wanted easy access to MySQL and the ability to create new databases, etc. for a membership site for example or you wanted to install plugins or products that are not permitted on WA hosting such as BuddyPress, you'd need to host outside of WA. I'm in the same boat. Can I transfer my free site here to another host, if i decide to.
