Amazon Associates account will soon be terminated. Help!

Greetings All,
I joined Amazon Associates a few months back. As we may all know if an Amazon Associates account has not generated at least 3 sales in 180 days (basically 6 months) then that account will be terminated. It's getting pretty close to my 6 months and I have not yet made a sale.
I live in the Caribbean. Not many people shop online in my country or the area where I live. I asked a few friends who I thought does shopping online - to make 3 small purchases through my link but for several reason no success.

I know the rules of WA says not to promote or try to sell products to people here. But I'm not sure if this will go against the rules. But if anyone from the WA community will be making any purchases from Amazon, please do consider using my Amazon link (I will not post it here). But inbox me. It is NOT ABOUT commissions. I just don't want my account to be terminated. I just need 3 simple sales. I will not take advantage of anyone, once I reach my 3 sales, then that's it.
