Displaying Professionalism
Being a professional means that you are reliable, honest, well-groomed, confident, well-spoken, positive, committed and dependable.
It is not necessary to keep reminding a professional of what is to be done as they are always keeping their appointments.
Professionalism is displayed in all areas including speech. The language is chosen carefully, avoiding the use of slang and inappropriate language.
A true professional ensures that their physical appearance works for them instead of against them.
People enjoy working with co-workers who are always positive and energetic as negativity is extremely draining.
Professionals admit when they are wrong, they do not make excuses and they do not blame others.
Showing your emotions is one thing, however, professionals do not lose their composure and their tempers.
Being competent as a professional is a minimum standard, the rest is about behavior.

Great post I am glad that you did this post because that way everyone in the community/family is reminded that being professional is the way to go and not to be rude and have the manners.
I really enjoyed reading this post. It coincides with my post about having respect and manners. This is awesome it is right on time. That is great.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family

You are very welcome and you are right we can't take anything for granted. We have to cherish what we have and what we can do. We can walk and talk and we all have our limbs we most don't.
Best wishes and Happy Thanksgiving
Mary
I agree with your post as stated but do you see today's professionalism moving in a more relaxed setting?
Thanks for reading, I suppose dressing as a professional does not have to be a suit at all times in that sense it could be relaxed.
Oh, don’t take this wrong, haven come from a professional environment some years ago and seeing how some, not all, professional environments are redefining what professionalism treats should be or placed on, just wondering.
I agree with you and I understand your first comment. The time has changed and some (not all) younger persons tend to want to rewrite in a more relaxed way the policies that govern the workplace.
