First Ever Blog as a Newbie
Hello WA Pips
I’m about to produce my first ever….and I mean ever’ Blog, after spending the last week or so with WA as a new comer I have to say it’s been a very interesting and eye opening experience and would also like to say what a great bunch of people ready to offer help at WA from all around the World …in fact you can travel anywhere in the world without ever having to leave your home, and the other thing I noticed, there doesn’t appear to be any ego’s or one-upmanship going on, which I would expect to find on this type of site, which can be off putting for those ‘such as myself’ who are total novices.
After finishing the first course (sounds like a meal review) and going over each of the 10 lessons several times…and still feeling unsure just how much is going in, I thought I would take the bull by the horns and go premium. So here I ‘am at the next stage ‘Course 2 Lesson 1’ First thing to get my Domain Name sorted’ I had managed to come up with 12 domain names but all but one were taken in dot com. So did that ok… or so I thought. In my heist and enthusiasm to get my first ever Domain name, I had missed spelt it, I had left out one letter, after feeling very, very angry with myself and knowing without asking what I should do, ‘I had to purchase another one’ so I’ve now got 1 for the price of 2 (not much a bargain), so on that note I would say to anyone who is starting out
“PAY ATTENTION” and also don’t let all the information get too you as it can seem like an uphill struggle if you let it, it really is one foot in front of the other.
Keep passing the open window
Sandra

Well done. Sounds like you are having fun. Failing fast is a great tool here. You learn things very quickly and move to the next. See now you are already helping newer newbies.
Great first blog!
Failing is part of the process...you can't get it right all the time, you just keep on trying and hope you hit the jack-pot at some point.
Many thanks, Sandra

I love your story and I really wish you to keep your humor during all this process. When you are a complete newbie it will take a lot of courage and self-forgiveness for all the errors you will make - and there are constantly lots of them, not only for newbies.
I am a half-newbie, but it is still ver y challenging - but with every challenge overcome the trust grows in, fiinally, succeeding.
Whenever you need help, contact me. I am not yet so far as to talk continuously "Chinese", as many people do when they are already totally inside the matter.
Thank you for your nice comment, if it's one thing I do have it's a wonky sense of humour (not to everyone's taste) but I can see the funny side to most things, even in adversity which has been knocking at my door over the last few years.
This whole thing is out of my comfort zone, but got to say it is very good for the little grey cells.
Thank you for your offer of help, you might regret saying that lol
