Crikvenica is very close to my heart. My maternal grandparents were Croats (I hold a Croatian passport) and they lived in Crikvenica for many years. I have fond memories as a child staying with them in their big old house there.

I would really like to go back to Crikvenica with my family for a visit one day soon. The problem is that I can hardly speak Hrvatski, although I would imagine that English is widely spoken there?
Yes, it is. Almost all younger people speak English there so it won't be a problem to you when you come there and you are going to learn Croatian better!
