When all of us first decided to try to make money online, none of us realised the monumental task we were about to undertake. All those constant emails in our inbox and websites online were all telling us how easy it would be to become very rich but the reality is very different. Internet and affiliate marketing requires learning many new skills.

So far I have learnt the following:

1. Find a profitable niche.
2. Find the best keywords, low competion, sufficiant monthly searches.
3. Buy a domain either incorperating one of those keywords or branding yourself?
4. Change nameservers to point here to Wealthy Affiliate Premium Web Hosting.
5. Get an autoresponder, we use Aweber.
6. Create yourown product, say an ebook to get you started.
7. Create your website here.
8. Write attention grabbing headline, sub-headline and a strong call to action?
9. Write a sales page for your product or add a short sales video?
10. Write a review page or pages, posts on a related affiliate product you've purchased or researched to verify it is quality?
11. Add additional pages and posts each optimized with best but different keywords.
12. Write great follow up emails into your autoresponder that build a relationship before selling to your subscribers.
13. Keep your content fresh and add more frequently.
14. Never use spammy sales pitches but instead be helpful and give your subscribers good reasons to remain on your mailing lists.
15. Drive traffic to your site, the hardest task because it takes weeks and months to bear fruit and only if you use what works, see below. Or get affiliates to do that selling your product and building your mailing list fast?
16. Repeat with another niche.

Making money online is a marathon not a sprint. It takes hard work, a lot of learning and taking action before even $1 might be earnt. Finally never, never, never buy those click your mouse 6 times scam software because they are all total trash. Also never give up.
For those with big pockets, the fastest way to get very rich is to select a millionaire Guru and pay him or her $thousands to train you 1 to 1, but in the end success will still be down to actions you take.
