Have you started being flooded with people who want you to accept them on LinkedIn? Don’t be surprised if tons of people have received an accept request from you, without your knowledge.
LinkedIn appears to me to be making a huge push for linked members. When I started getting emails saying my request to be LinkedIn to certain people had been refused, it didn’t take long for me to realize that it was LinkedIn trying to fool people into thinking the request was coming from me. Also, If you accept one of those requests from someone else, it automatically sends that person an accept request from you. Plus, “many” people, including some I don’t know, were requesting to be accepted all of a sudden.
It started to become a nightmare so I decided to shut down my account. But, that was not the end of it. I kept getting accept requests and messages from LinkedIn. Luckily, I use Gmail so I created a filter to remove anything from LinkedIn.
