A vast creativity

Our brain is the most powerful organ, which we must exercise, just as we do with our body. The brain can be stimulated with good practices, which will help improve your creativity.

These are the steps that James Clear described in his article "For a more creative brain, follow these 5 steps". These steps can be applied to the task of training here and to create content for your website. Full article

  1. Gather new material. At first, you learn. During this stage you focus on 1) learning specific material directly related to your task and 2) learning general material by becoming fascinated with a wide range of concepts.
  2. Thoroughly work over the materials in your mind. During this stage, you examine what you have learned by looking at the facts from different angles and experimenting with fitting various ideas together.
  3. Step away from the problem. Next, you put the problem completely out of your mind and go do something else that excites you and energizes you.
  4. Let your idea return to you. At some point, but only after you have stopped thinking about it, your idea will come back to you with a flash of insight and renewed energy.
  5. Shape and develop your idea based on feedback. For any idea to succeed, you must release it out into the world, submit it to criticism, and adapt it as needed.

Great advice Rosa :)

Thanks for sharing, Jude.

Excellent post, Rosa - sometimes it doesn't occur to us that we have to exercise our brains just like we exercise our bodies.

You're right, Erica. Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for sharing. It's interesting - Step 3 and Step 4.

I heard of an artist and if he didn't quite like his painting but couldn't quite figure out how to improve it, he would put the painting away by turning it facing the wall, where he couldn't see it. He would not look at the painting for several weeks or months. Then, with fresh eyes, he often knew then, how to finish the painting.

So true! when we return to the project in process, we have another perspective helps us to complete successfully. Thanks for your comment, Myra.

Thanks for sharing, Kenneth.

Great blog, Rosa. You mean we have to use our brains? ;-) Actually, that is generally the process that I have been using for quite a while. Some always accuse me of procrastinating and I am a bit guilty of that but I have this need to first gather the info and let it sink in and mull it over in my head before I am ready to make a decision or finish an idea. However, once I make this decision, I need to do it, or buy it NOW. Have always been that way.

Thanks,

Wayne

I think it's a good strategy, Wayne. Thanks for your comment.

5 very excellent points, thanks, Rosa!

You're welcome, Therese.

Awesome. This weeks lecture at school was on creating new neuro-synaptic pathways and this post goes along nicely. Well done.

Glad I could help. Thanks for commenting, Katherine.

That explains why ideas for solving problems come after you have moved away from it for a while.

Yes, indeed! That's a good solution. Thanks for sharing, Janice.
