What to write on the first page on my blog?

I have a technical blog named easytechnicalblog which I haven't yet started posting any technical articles to. I do have a few posts articles that I already composed these last few days, but waiting to proofread them all. The first one links to all the others.

But before posting these, as I was on the 8th lesson in level 1, it said to write at least a 400 page first page post. The posts that I spoke about above are all technical so they all would go under http://easytechnicalblog.com/blog but I made a static page as the landing page or the home page of the blog/site. I've written a little-bit about myself on this page but it's just about 100 words or so.

I'm good at writing even very long technical posts and articles but I'm kinda stuck here what to write for the landing page / home page. I can use some help from you experienced guys here at WA.

Can you suggest what I can write on the home page? Can you explain what I can add to this first page? Writing long technical pages/posts is not hard, but writing this first page seems hard for me at this time.

Thanks for the help.

Hi, on your home page you could give the reader a summary of what your site is all about and the areas you cover and why. This can all be changed as your business expands. Then maybe down the side you list all your blogs so the reader can choose which is most useful for them to go to.
Hope this suggestion helps,
Regards
Hudson.

Thanks for your comment, Hudson!

I'll surely think and act on these lines. But for now, I have some more problems about my blog listed on a new blog post (coming up). I'd need some help there.

Can you teach companies how to sort out there tech problems and become an advisor?

Hello Raspal. Write how you can help with technical issues, what type. You can also write or have someone you have helped write a small piece as a testimonial.

Thanks for posting here. I have some testimonials about my work I did for some employers at (or through) odesk. May be I can add those. But I added some similar info (not testimonials) on the about page.
