I have seen several persons, particularly women, commenting or posting that they feel stuck, depressed, forlorn, lost.
I am sure that men also get these feelings, but most men have been socialized not to express them, for fear they would be looked upon as weak or emotional.
Whether you have expressed these types of feeling openly or not, I hope what follows resonates with you, and encourages you to be true to yourself, even if privately.
First, note that at some point in EVERYONE'S life, we have negative feelings about ourselves, our circumstances, our futures. This is life, and that is the stark reality. You are not alone.
Secondly, we have to be sufficiently in tune with ourselves - both mind and our body - to recognize the onset of a negative feeling. This is important so that we can pinpoint exactly what caused the feeling and deal with it right away. There is always a beginning and we have to be aware of it.
Once you recognize what is weighing on you, figure out if there is anything you can do about it.
If you can fix it NOW, then fix it. It may be a tough decision to make, or a seemingly cold action to take, but trust me, for your own well-being, for your own sanity, find the courage to deal with it. Having something unpleasant hanging and lingering over you which you can take action on, weakens you in body and in mind.
If you can't fix it now, acknowledge it. Then determine the day, time, place and way to handle it, and purposely put it out of your mind. Set some kind of reminder to alert you when it's time to deal with it. That way you do not have to be constantly bringing it back to mind before it's time to finally put it to bed.
If you cannot fix it at all, accept it. You are only human. Maybe it is for someone else to fix and not you. Do not stress yourself about things you have no control over. Hand it over to your higher power and leave it alone.
And finally, remember The Serenity Prayer:

Have a peaceful day y'all.
