Why Wordpress is better then Blogspot.
Ownership of Website
Google Blogger, Blogger or also known as Blogspot is a blogging service provided by Google. It is a free service, reliable most of the time, and enough to publish simple blog posts. However just because something is free does not mean it is good.
You (the owner) can not own your blog on Google Blogger. Google runs it for you and has the right to shut it down anytime without warning. Who would want to experience that? This is the first huge con.
Wordpress on the other hand you own your website or blog. You get to decide if you want to keep your account or not. You are in full control of your data. This is a huge PRO for members.
The Editing & Tools
Google Blogger has very limited tools allowing the user to fine tune their website to their specific needs. Their themes are outdated which almost never any new choices available. If you actually want something decent you need an outside source and experience on how to even install the template and edit the template (theme).
With Wordpress you have hundreds of selections for themes. They are always updated by the providers and you get website support. Each theme has it's own set of tools you can use to customize to your specific needs. The only limit if your imagination. Wordpress is hands down for the serious business owners in the long run.
Moving Websites to Another Host
Moving a Google Blog is a difficult task and if no experience it can definitely cause a huge headache for the person. There is also a high chance you might lose your SEO rankings. Google makes this difficult because they don't want people to move to other hosts.
Wordpress makes it much easier if you want to move your website to another host or even to Wordpress. There are good tutorials written that even helps members do so. Also, the SEO tools is much more advanced versus other places.
Website Security
Since Blogger is owned by Google you do get the added security. That is about the only PRO I can think of when it comes to Blogspot.
Wordpress is secure as well but since it is self hosted users would need to add security and do the backups. Luckily because we are Weathly Affiliate members we have double the website security so we don't need any extra junk. However, it is good to have a Backup Plugin.
Customer Service
Blogspot has limited customer service, documentation and very little active community.
Wordpress however has a very active community, documentation, live chat, theme support and so much more. We, at Weathly Affiliate also help each other out every day. What could be better than that?
The Future
I don't think I need to write any explanation for this one. One day Blogspot will be terminated just like many other services Google has shut down. Wordpress though is here to stay in the long run. I'm basically saying Blogspot is terrible.

Definitely, unlike Blogger which can be shutdown anytime. Wordpress is more independent based and runs all types of businesses from small to big.
