Well with an idea in the back of my head I have started looking at how I would build a paid subscription site in wordpress and siterubix..
A site where you could have multiple levels of membership, provide controlled content and even some basic forums.
Well I searched and tested in a sandbox and decided that the following are the most likely plugins to give me what I am after..
