Is there a rule for number of tags in a post or page?

I am going through 'old posts' trying to improve this in relation to SEO. I want to include tags to the text, but is there a maximum limit of how many tags can be used?
Maybe it is only me overlooking information that's already here, then please point me in the right direction.
If not, I will appreciate very much some advise from all you WA-ers out there with wast experience in these matters (at least compared to me..).
