Allin One SEO or Yoast?
When we make the first website in WA we get All In One SEO plug in preinstalled. I had in the start problens understanding keyword and search engine optimization. One of the experienced WA-ers suggested that I switched to Yoast SEO insted.
I did, and the way Yoast functions giving me feedback in plain English was a great help and I suddely understood the process with SEO. I have had some problems with Yoast (see previous post) but this is sorted out and I like the assistance I get.
However, some of the comments I have got is that we are advised against using this plug in, but there is nor reason why. I really want to keep my Yoast but if there are compatibility problems with other plug ins we need later or WordPress I want to know so I can make a informed decision of keeping or deleing Yoast.
Your comments will be highly appreciated because I want to know what I do and why.

Why were you advised against using Yoast? I would like to see the reasoning behind it Rolf.
I do not have any problem with it Rolf and find it very easy to use. It is just another tool though and it is well tested, so I would pick one and stick with it.
Ben, that's exactly what I'm doing now. I feel that Yoast give me good pointers in plain English so I can improve and learn to think about the SEO when I write.
well one thing I really like is the fact that after using Yoast my last six blogs are all ranked well and at - 21,9,16,13,11, 1 and I could d never get anything like this with SRO - today my site is page 1 google, page 1, Bing, page 1 Yandex and page 2 Yahoo and I put this all down to yoast
Hi Paul, that's impressive. I will continue my experiments with Yoast after this message for sure! THANKS FOR SHARING!
I have used Yoast on 2 of my websites, never deleted the all in one, and filled in exact the same keywords and descriptions on both, until I learned how SEO worked, no I follow my own instruction guide, and have deleted the Yoast plugin. Checklist before you hit the publish button, 25 points!
Hi Loes, I have read your 25 point check list and I will eventually start using that . But still I need the guidance I get from Yoast, consider it the assisting wheel of my bike - I am still afraid of falling over ...lol
Maybe someday soon...
But thank you for all the good advice and training you share with me and other WA-ers.
I also took that guidance for 4 months, when you think you are going to stop yoast after sometime, you can fill in, just like I did, the seo all in one too, when you are planning to keep yoast, you have to take care of your sitemap, otherwise there will be a conflict, in the course you send in the Google sitemap, you have to shift over to the yoast sitemap
Loes, thank you for this advice. I understand it like Yoast make a sitemap, so if I go back to All in One SEO I should still use the Sitemap created by Yoast?
A more likely scenario is that I will use none of them after I feel comfortable I understand how the SEO should be done! And then I have the 25 points ...
the only problem with yoast i can see and i am no expert is only one keyword or need a paid version. Correct me if i am wrong.
Ive used both and cant decide either
Hi MINDwell, You are right in relation to the one keyword phrase. But I don't see that as a disadvantage, as you will naturally add a lot of related keywords when you write, and you also will rank for these in the search engines, as far as I have understood the training about SEO.

Great discussion subject Rolf. I also swapped to Yoast some time ago after having some issues with the all-in-one plugin. I have no issues with Yoast and have used it for a couple of years now on various sites.
Hi Andrew and thankds for the comment. It is good to hear that other have the same experience that yourself....!
