Searching for a new beginning at the end of the line.
I had heard it more than once, " Work smart, not hard," and anytime I had traveled in that direction, it took me backwards away from the financial happiness that I had been chasing. Working hard got really hard after the first 40 years and then I noticed the little aches and pains required medicating and then hospital visits became essential. The Golden Years followed shortly after but are more reminiscent of mud and stone than precious metals. My joints don't perform like they used to and the mud has materialized around my belt and between my ears. There is not much left to work with, either smart or hard so I have come to a conclusion. If I want to care for my wife as she has always deserved, I had better do both. Work smart and hard. One without the other is useless.
