Make A Video - Scary or Not
I wrote this blog post yesterday about making videos because I know that video is an important part of marketing, and I know I need to make them. Making a video is a little scary and is definitely outside my comfort zone, and it seems I m not the only one that feels a little apprehensive about making videos.
Just wondered what others here at WA thought about making videos, I would be interested in your opinions.
You can read the full post at the link below, and of course any comments would be welcome and of course I will return the favor.

Also I am looking for a good video software package, so if anyone knows of any I can checkout, that would be great too :)

I certainly hear you there, that is where I have stalled in continuing my training. I have investigated it and tried making a video from my PC and that was terrible, so I have a Galaxy S 4 cell now that will do just great, my only problem is not projecting myself well...especially if I have to stare at myself while doing it...Lol...Will give it a shot eventually, but I do believe they help a great deal with getting your site to be more known and trusted. Posting on You Tube and your own site is a must I think...:))
Hi Kim, I agree with you about projecting yourself, it's about trying to come across with enthusiasm without looking force. I think it is a bit of an art form to be honest.
I am determined to conquer this video stuff though :)

Me too, I am great at projecting in live person...but never was good at acting, even though you are suppose to be yourself it is just strange to watch yourself trying to act naturally...I distract myself all the time..Lol..:)
Hearing your own voice back and seeing yourself on camera is just to weird. May be you get used to it, I hope so :)
If you want to be in front of the camera you can use a good quality smart-phone that does video recording and your microphone needs to be USB or bluetooth not plug-in. ~Marion
The first one is definitely scary… after that it gets easier. I love making whiteboard videos because that means I don’t have to speak but I have made a few “over-the-shoulder” videos as well.
My first whiteboard video is at: https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=Nxvszs2nNr8 and my first “over-the-shoulder” video is at: https://www.youtube.com /watch?v=ey7fiUChEEw (please remove the spaces).
If you want to subscribe to my channel I will be very appreciative.
Software can be free or very expensive - your choice. I have used CamStudio Recorder, EZVid, Windows Movie Maker and SolveigMM AVI Trimmer (all free) for "over-the-shoulder" videos and editing.

Hi Marion, thanks for the great advice and the software for me to checkout, Your videos are good, I subscribed and left a comment on your site.
Like you said I think once I get the first one done, it will get easier.
