Deleting a Post after you move it to a submenu and you dont need it on original Page anymore

I converted a post of mine into a submenu under a page. Now I want to delete that post that was originally on my static front page where all my posts go. Trouble is, when I delete from that static page, it also deletes it from the submenu where I want it to be! Does anyone know what I can do?

I don't think you can change a post in your blog roll to a page.

Hi drjec
I had the post on my static page, which I had previously converted from a blog roll to a static page. I took the post and made it a submenu under another page.. I just wanted it to get off my static page now without wiping it out of submenu status as well. Seems I can't do that. Thanks for your reply!

You can't delete a post from the blog roll. If your front page is the overall blog roll, the post has to remain there (it will roll off as you publish more posts) in order to be seen in the category submenu.

If you are going to categorize all your posts, you can eliminate the blogroll from displaying altogether by changing your front page to a static page instead.

Hi, onmyownterms!
I have already turned the blogroll page into a static page. I took one of those posts displayed there and made a submenu out of it. I guess even if its not a rolling blog anymore, it still wont let you delete a post without deleting it elsewhere as well. I have researched and tried but no go. Just seems a bit redundant to have it twice on the site. LOL Thanks for you help!
