Sad Day For Me

Anybody that's followed me on my parakeet blogs has heard me talk about Chad. He was my first Parakeet and gave me a ton of my knowledge with how to handle and work with these birds. He passed away on Saturday afternoon after being sick. I know it's the cycle of life, but it none the less is very sad and difficult for me. It has taken me the last 2 days even to come to grips to write about it.

My Parakeet Blog Will Go On Strong!!

In honour of chad me and my lone parakeet for now Layne will continue along with Ms.Skye and Twitter my 2 cockatiels to produce quality content. This is the best way I can make even more out of the time I had with him so that his legacy in my feathered side of the family will continue forever in our hearts. Rest In Peace Chad. You'll be with us forever in our hearts.

Int4resting pets robin. Bless them in their passage

Thanks Mike. I am in agreement with you for the Blessing on Chad.

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is losing part of your family. It's natural to grieve. As they say in the Jewish faith - may his memory be a blessing.

Absolutely!! I will remember him forever and have been blessed and will always be blessed just for having spent time with him. He was very unique of a bird!

I am so sorry that Chad passed. It does not matter what kind of animal we have, we form bonds with them. We are their caregivers for their entire lives. They depend on us much like children.

We had a beautiful cocker spaniel for 14 years. We got her when she was only 3 months old. She developed cancer and we knew we were going to have to put her down. That week was the hardest week of our lives. I cried practically the whole week, and when the time came, we took pictures of her and with her, and then my husband and son drove her to the vets to be put down. I was almost hysterical and could not go. It literally broke my heart. Our animals are just like people. They are irreplaceable.

So I am glad you will honor Chad. He will always be in your heart. May you be comforted by his memory! Take Care.

Sorry for your loss as well. I have had cats and dogs as well that I had from weeks old. We always know the time will come at some time, it's just so heartbreaking and can take some time to mourn the loss just like any other family member.
