QR Codes - Is it time to revisit them?

I have seen many blogposts on WA regarding QR Codes. Some are years old and say That QR Codes are dead. I even asked the question on here myself about 5 years ago. But since then I have seen an explosion in the use of these codes. Even my local school uses them to access their class blogs.
So do you use them yourself on your own websites ? Do you scan them when seen in public?
Are they worth revisiting them as a way to promote access to your blogposts and webpages?
