Beware of Spam Scam
Having come from my own little world of personal e-mail and e-bay I had not been involved with a spam issue. I know WA is big time out there in the big world and I got hit with Spambot.
I spent much of my creative time removing the pop-ups because I always heard not to open any spam message. I don't understand how this could happen since I have Norton Anti Virus which I thought took care of this sort of thing. Anyway if you enter Norton there are several toll free numbers and I called one. I was told that for $199 my issue could be corrected. I said I would think about it.
Then I saw Kill Robot Spam Instantly with GASP! by Phil52. I'm not comfortable tinkering with the inner workings of my computer but after reading the positive comments from many at WA I installed the plugin. And "wala" no more pesky pop-ups. Bless you Phil52.

I think most pop up spam these days is actually malware. Try downloading a program called superantispyware. It's free and works well for me.
Thank you for the warning - and on behalf of everyone who may be hit by this problem, thank you to Phil52. I have made a note of this on the cover of my notebook... and hope never to need it.
