As a DJ of some 25+ years now, music has always played a big part of my life ...
It's something I still do now from time to time and have always loved how music makes people feel emotionally. It can brighten up your, or make you feel sad -
Lyrics in songs can sometimes make us stop and think about the world and make a connection ... Here are a few lyrics from Those Were The Days by Mary Hopkins ....
"Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same"
Everyone can have their own interpretation of these lyrics or words ...

It got me thinking about our blogs that we're all creating.
At the end of the day, we are trying to make that connection with our readers, but how do we go about that ?
We have the same power on our blogs, as songwriters do with their songs ... To make a connection, to make people feel some kind of motion or literally just to entertain.
Build that bond with your reader, by partaking a little bit of information about yourself, to let your readers know WHO the owner of the website is ... What you do for fun ? How many kids you've got ? Where you've been recently on holiday ?
We have the power with our blogs, to be able to connect with our readers, evoke emotion and most of all, let our visitors get to know us a little better. Don't be a faceless web business owner ? Let your words express how your are feeling and let your passion come through in your articles.
Put pictures of yourself on the web (not the naughty ones haha), and let your visitors put a name to a face and make that connection.
Are you brave enough to stand behind your web business and say this is who I am and here's what I hope you will benefit from today, as a visitor to my website ?
Can you relate to this at all ? What are your thoughts with adding your pic to your site ? Are you making an emotional connection with your visitors and have you given a little piece of yourself to your visitors, so that they can learn a little bit about YOU ?
I'd love to hear your thoughts ... Please drop me a comment below - Thank you
