Why WA Is The Place To Be
We all know that WA has the best community on the internet. But, if anyone had a doubt I have a story for you that should get rid of that doubt. I love the feedback tool and after the last time I requested feedback I love it even more!
When you ask for feedback you never know what you are going to get. This time I got the jackpot, I had a member you know who you are (Thanks Again). That gave me such thorough feedback it inspired me to write this.
I asked for general feedback, what I got was pure gold. This member took the time to really go through my site and with no hesitation gave me the feedback I needed to move my site forward.
It always nice to hear that someone really liked your site and they think your doing a great job. But, when you get that special person that digs into your site and gives you a healthy dose of reality, you have some winning feedback.
This may not be for the faint of heart, get past your ego and embrace that feedback. When you look at you site a hundred times a day its easy to miss what everyone else sees.
I read the feedback, looked at my site, made the changes and as a direct result of the changes. My session duration has gone up over 125% everyday since. Now, that's Feedback!
So, my advice is to embrace that feedback, put it to good use. You might be pleasantly surprised what others see that you miss!

I also agree with you that it's better to receive honest & constructive criticism by someone who thoroughly researched and looked deep into our website than easy feel good praise from someone who is trying to be nice and most likely spent about 1/10 of the time looking at our site as the honest and thorough Friend did.

I am glad, asking for feedback is so important. No matter how good your site is you can always miss something.
In my case, I was trying to be to fancy, KISS in the old days this meant "Keep It Simple Stupid" now we have to be politically correct so I guess they changed "Stupid" to some feel good word.
But, as we know with feedback, say what you mean and mean what you say!

There was this bout I stumbled across where he Claims he increased in readership by 100-200% each month. He's no longer here. Suspect he must be doing too good.
