Some Great info on Hashtags from Jean Prate on Quora -
Rather than copy and paste Jeans post, I think it is more ethical ? to just post a link to it. I do not know Jean at all but his post on Hashtags was really interesting. I for sure am going to use them going forwards ! (and follow him)

Some facts he mentions, using 1 to 2 hashtags on a Facebook post can get you 593 interactions !
Tweets with hashtags attract 2x engagement - almost 40% of tweets with hashtags get retweeted.

I wasn't aware of the increase in engagement by using hashtags on Facebook, so that was useful.
