Facebook says NO !

So I have a website in the Losing Weight / Diet Niche and thought it would be good to boost a post on my Facebook page !

How wrong can you be ! THEY REJECT EVERYONE ! - I think if just mention the word Diet to Facebook, it is an absolute no no !

Now I am not political but when you read stories of what Facebook does allow, I wont go into details but you will know, it just makes me want to give up !

Has anybody any tips to get a boost posted in the Diet Niche ? thanks as always

Richie

What is the post? Is it driving people to a blog post with a link in the post or is the content the actual post on FB?

If it is driving people to a blog post on your website why not create an image in Canva.com with the Diet wording on it then just add a small bit of text and the link in the FB post. Remember FBs ruling about no more than 20% text on an image.

That way the word diet is not read by FB anywhere.

Let me know what you think, or if you need any further clarification

Sounds perfect !! Thank you yes the post was a gateway to the full website. I will follow you if that is ok !

Welcome to the 'family'

Forgot ro mention my domain actually says "this diet works" so it may be getting elbowed (as we say in Blighty) for that, lets see

If that is the case it may be time to cloak your domain name. 2 ways around this in my opinion.

Firstly use bit.ly to create a cloaked domain or buy a cheap domain name that fits health in general so no mention of diet or weight loss.

If you go the cheap domain route upload the Pretty Link plugin which creates a cloaked domain that actually looks like a domain. e.g thisdietworks.com/latest-review becomes thenewdomain.com/product-review

Hope that is not clear as mud!!!

Usually you can see what the reason is, if you have a FB ad rejected. Look at what it says and try to adapt.

FB does not reject everyone:-) they have rules and sometimes they are strict, but they also have a lot of laws to live up to.

I have had several ads not approved but then I could look at the reason why and they try again and then it works.

Thanks Mickael, I have tried 7 up to now and nothing gets through. The picture is ordinary and I do not promise anything !

that does sound frustrating. They are probably very strict in the health niche. Do you not get any message about why they do not allow it? usually the refer to some kind of guidelines that can give you an idea.

Facebook is ridiculous and bias and should just let us run our own platforms. Unreal. You would think diet info would be something many people would want to see in their feed. Sorry for your troubles. I guess you'll have to disguise your posts somehow and not mention the word diet.

Hi Babsie
Thank you, it is so frustrating ! all the ad said was "Christmas is coming - good time to start a diet !" not exactly over the top?
I think the problem may even be in my domain name. It actually says "this diet works" so maybe it is that. Anyway I think I will give FB a miss. Thanks again Richie
