Hello All

Just a quicjk post today. I have installed Sumo (In depth Google analysis etc) on my site and it is very good. However is shows there were were 27 visitors to my site yesterday (its early days) but the Sumo noted that the Bounce rate was 100% - Time spent on site 0% pages viewed 1 new sessions 0%

Just wondered if anyone else had sometihng like this in the early days ? was a bit worried it was some kind of hacking event or something?

I would not worry about looking at statistics when your site is so new - it can course more confusion and frustration than help:-)

Also, I would stick to Google Analytics for stats - know some people use Sumo, but my personal preferences i Google Analytics, as it gives amazing insights. But first of all I would not worry about it until your site has more traffic.

Thanks, Mike
I thought this too but didn't feel 100% hence my suggestion

Thanks Mike and Vicki yes noted not to get hung up on statistics in rhe early days, but was more worried that it was a hack on the site?

probably not a hack when it is 27 visits. Then it would be way higher.

The thing about statistics is also to never look at just one number isolated. People often get focused on just the bounce rate, but to really analyze the bounce rate you need to look at it is relation to other factors as well. For example where the traffic comes from, what do you want them to do on the page they come to etc. A high bounce rate is not always bad.

If you for example have traffic from social media for a certain post there, the bounce rate will often be very high.

Thanks Mike much appreciated
