Are You Self Sabotaging Your Affiliate Business?!

Lately, I've been thinking about how to promote the Wealthy Affiliate program a lot.

I often take a look at other websites and notice that most of them promote WA by highlighting the first level as a free affiliate marketing course.

I have been doing that for a long time as well but it does make me wonder if it's really aligned with the rest of the funnel.

Offering something with the expectation that it's free and then expecting people to purchase a sometimes $99/month subscription.

I'd love to hear your opinion about this and if this approach is working for you.

I think it's fairest to let people know up front that there will be an upsell is a best practice. I also think it will lead to better conversion rates, as you're not just getting the people who are seeking something for free, but people willing to pay to for training they find valuable.

I emphasize that WA allows you to test drive the platform for free to decide if it aligns with you, but if you are serious about creating an online business, you need to upgrade to Premium at a cost of $49 per month, discounted to $19 for the first month. I don't mention Premium Plus, as it's irrelevant to someone starting out.

You only have to be in Live Chat for a while to see plenty of examples of people who've joined for free and have absolutely no clue as to what it's all about.

In my reviews, I say that it is free but it is a test drive and I say how much the upgrade is.
Or I say you can test-drive all of the features of premium for the first 7 days.
In the beginning, I said it was free and have still got to update some of the posts.
In many posts, I don't say it is free at all.

Hi - yes, I agree that many reviews do not paint a true picture and focus only on the free aspect. I have seen many sites where they do not even mention that there is a paid option!

This can lead to a lack of trust and deter people from upgrading. It is better to be honest from the start and describe the limitations of free membership.

Hi
Probably you could advertise the free training as a type of try before you buy?
