The 3 P's of Success

My last post was about managing the peaks and valleys of starting a new venture like we all are doing here at Wealthy Affiliate. From my experience there are three key elements to create and maintain success, regardless of the initiative. They are patience, persistence and perseverance.

Patience - Are you a patient person? I'm not! More than a virtue, patience (or lack thereof), can get in the way of achieving our goals. Patience is about control. All we really have control over is our actions and reactions. Because we have to balance life's priorities with building a new venture, it's important to do what we can, when we can. Otherwise our actions will prove worthless and we won't be able to enjoy success when it comes.

Persistence - Persistence is about not giving up.There are a lot of reasons why you would want to. WA is not a 'get rich quick' scheme, nor is it a process that will make you an authority in your given niche (leading to loads of affiliates sales) overnight. The process has to be learned step by step, lesson by lesson. It's difficult to not jump ahead, but we have to learn the right way, in order, so we know what we're doing. If you're not persistent in your efforts, unfortunately you're wasting your time - and your money. Why do that?!

Perseverance - This last 'P' is about overcoming obstacles. Perseverance allows us to move through challenges with a positive mindset. Roadblocks (whether real or imagined) are a guarantee, especially when we are close to reaching the toughest goals. Stay on path and move through steadily, knowing each finish line you cross is because you overcame every obstacle that (tried) to get in the way.

With our goals in mind we must incorporate each of these 'keys' into our daily routine. We can also be less hard on ourselves for not reaching goals that take time to evolve on their own. The best successes are the ones we earn, and the ones we allow to 'bloom' in the right way.
