Feeling Stuck and Overwhelmed

It's been three weeks since joining WA. I have been learning tons of things from the training and the community.

Every day is an exciting day for me as I continue my training until I reached Level Three Lesson Three where I have to join as a publisher and be able to create affiliate links.

This is again, all new for me. My head span while searching for affiliate links relevant to my niche. I paused and thought of the next thing to do.

I am still waiting for the approval of my applications from the advertisers. I was quite disheartened. Then I saw my profile with a link from WA. I decided to write a new article where I can safely add the WA affiliate link. Problem solved....

The next lesson gave me another challenge- add relevant Amazon product to my site.

Disappointment came over me because Amazon is not available in New Zealand. I messaged my coach and asked for advice. He said that it' s OK to find another product outside Amazon.

I clicked on the Affiliate Programs (on the left side) and saw lots of programs that I can join but still I have to apply and wait for their approval. Ugh! So many things to learn and do.

Then came Google AdSense... Hey it looked so simple to do, but wait! Kyle said before someone creates an account, make sure to have at least 15 contents on the website. Are you serious??? I counted mine, I only have 8 relevant articles since starting the training. Come on!!!

I stopped and took deep breaths.... Do I really love what I am doing? Is it worth my time and effort?

YES! I Iove what I am doing. Why? Here are my valid reasons...

1.) I can brush up my grammar and writing skills that got stuck up in my brains since I become a stay-at-home Mom.

2.) I can make my free time more productive instead of browsing over stressful posts of my FB friends.

3.) I can learn something completely new for me at my own pace.

4.) I gain new online friends from different walks of life, from all over the world.

5.) Finally, I hope to earn from my website. Turn my efforts in the form of money or incentives.

I don't have to be hard on myself and just give whatever I can while working on my website. Meanwhile, I can post some blogs like this one and give a welcome message, comments and feedback ( if I still have extra time before and after doing household chores).

So, yeah. I am still at Level 3 on the lesson about AdSense. I told myself that it's gonna be fine. All I have to do now is to publish one post a day until I completed my 15 articles. I may want to publish 18 just to be sure before creating my Google AdSense account.

Cheers!

Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Did you know that you can continue to the next lesson even though you haven't completed all the tasks? Return and complete them when you are ready to do so.

You have the right attitude and will go far. We all have to go through this learning process and a state of confusion at times. That is normal. And you can also ask for help in the Help Center in addition to your coach.

I wish you much success in your affiliate marketing journey.

Edwin

Thanks, Edwin... No, I didn't know that I can move to the next lesson without completing the tasks for the current lesson. However, I'm afraid I'll get lost with the lessons if the training is designed to be followed accordingly.

I appreciate your help.

Regards,

Ruth

Hello kiwi! Im in Nz too 😁
Youve been given some good advice above, but if you do ever want to join amazon one day you can, you just have to have an audience in the relevant country. I earn hundreds from Amazon every month, from my kitchen in Christchurch (most of my readers are in the US). Its a good idea to build your site around programs outside of Amazon as they are always slashing commissions and you wouldnt want to rely on them.
Check out my WA blog:I've had some great success targeting local products that are NZ only, as I'm pretty much the only one in my niche.I wrote an article about what i did. I bet you can use this tactic too.
Good luck and keep going! You'll do awesome 😁

Hi, Emily. So nice to meet you here. I'll check on your blogs one of these days. Thanks for your advice.

Kind regards,

Ruth

Hi Ruth. The training at WA is fantastic BUT..there's always a but. I really think that the training needs to be tweaked a little to allow for the fact that few affiliate networks will let you join until you write a reasonable amount of blogs ( Ibpersonally suggest 15 to 20) and receive a reasonable amount of visitors.
There is only one way to resolve the post issue..write more posts.
As for the visitor numbers. I believe you can do this fairly quickly by starting a Pinterest board as well as giving and asking for comments on 'Site Comments'.
All the best. Jim

That's what I am planning to do now, Jim, to write more posts before continuing my WA training.

Thanks for the advice. I would search first how to do a Pinterest board (no idea what's Pinterest).😄

Kind regards,
Ruth

Hi Ruth, I get the feeling you may be rushing things. Just my opinion, concentrate on building up your website. Create more blogs/posts this will generate traffic. Forget Amazon and AdSense for now. You seem really ambitious and you will be successful.
It almost sounds like you are in the Boot Camp training. Things will work out.

All the best,
Michael

Yeah, I think I have been following the training so diligently and my eagerness to learn more everyday, brings frustration once I can't do the task I am supposed to do.

Thanks so much, Michael. I appreciate your comment.

Ruth, you can do it and you need to believe in yourself. Three weeks is not a long time. I have been here 2 years and I am still learning. You are expecting too much of yourself, this will most certainly cause you frustration. I rushed through the training the first time and I had to go back and start all over again. I had to think of myself learning how to walk, I crawled, I stumbled and I fell several times. To be honest with you, sometimes I think I am still at that baby age learning how to walk.
I believe in you Ruth, you can do it. Always reach out when you need a hand.

All the best,
Michael

Thanks so much, Michael. 😊

You are welcome Ruth.

Michael

Hi Ruth, good to meet you. It can be very confusing and overwhelming when you get to this point in the training, but follow the directions closely and you should do okay. I have been exploring other affiliate sites right now because Amazon has been such a disappointment lately with their reduced affiliate payouts.

I wish you the very best as you travel through these unfamiliar things. Remember to ask questions if you have them. There are a whole lot of very smart people at Wealthy Affiliate who are more than willing to help!

With 2020 vision (and beyond),
Karin 😎

Thank you, Karin. I can see how kind the beautiful people here in this community.

Regards,

Ruth
