A Well Deserved Vacation (But the computer gets to come as well)
My wife works hard in her job and I try the best I can to bring in my share of the money. We are both overdue a break and this week we finally get a rest. We have rented a luxury first floor apartment with a sea view in a place called Carbis Bay, near St Ives in Cornwall, UK.
Carbis Bay is on the Southern coast and has some spectacular beach properties and golden beaches. After a 7 hour drive and 340 miles later we have landed, and it's raining! just our luck. To be honest the rain doesn't bother me at all but the mist is taking the edge off the sea view. Hopefully tomorrow will bring sunshine and clear skies.
There is a coastal path to walk and a fantastic railway that runs along the coast as well as many other attractions to see. Although my wife is going to totally relax, I have brought my macbook with me because, you guessed it, the apartment has free wifi! Amazing how happy that makes me. It means I can do a little writing at the end of our days out. I have also got photographs and videos to upload each day. The beach is 5 minutes walk down the hill and the railway station is half way down the same hill. My trusty BMW 525D is in the picture as the apartment has a private off road parking space included.
I have added a photo of the view from the apartment window. I think it's inspirational even on a dull and overcast day and should get my creativity flowing.

Nice, I never mind a little rain. Right now I could go for some. It has been in the 90's here where I'm at. Suppose to hit 104 or more, a little warmish. Enjoy your time.
It is very peaceful and the view is serene this Sunday morning. The weather is much improved today.
