Greetings fellow members and associates! I want to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone here in the Wealthy Affiliate community for their overwhelming response to my question " What is Social Media? " When I went to high school, all that was available for an extra course was typing, which I did not take because of my interest in sports at the time. Computers were slowly being introduced and the systems ran on something called DOS! What??? Needless to say I did not touch a computer until 2009, and that was just really basic skills too. Everything is so advanced and social media is definitely something that must be implemented to succeed in online marketing.

I am so very grateful to everyone for their responses and help. I have many ways now to begin learning this valuable process. Thanks again to the Greatest Community in online marketing training. Wealthy Affiliate is a superior product and a special kudos to Kyle and Cameron for creating this awesome program!

I remember my first experience with a computer was with the Commadore64 and that was in the fall of 1982. We used to make a picture in DOS using special characters cause you could change the color of the cursor. You could store data on a disk that was actually floppy or you could use the never to be seen again cassette tape.....remember typing in When we were in the library we used to learn how to hack the operating system. After that, I never touched computers again till 1992 just after the internet came around.
Well, you are completely right, the WA probably has the best platform to learn some of this digital world, thanks to the incredibly helpful and supportive platform designed by Carson and Kyle, hats off to you both! Keep up the great work Rckknight, you're doing fantastic and remember to drop a line if I can help you in any way. I am able to. Canucks4life!!

Well put. I didn't even use the old Dos system and I certainly do remember cassette tapes and I still have a whack of and a great player! I even have some of my old 8 track tapes and a working player, and an antique reel to reel player with hours of music.
I'm a music lover and I appreciate vintage types like CD, vinyl, cassette, and 8 track. Thanks for bringing up some awesome memories and yes hats off to Kyle and Carson for creating such an amazing platform for everyone to learn affiliate marketing.
Thanks for your support I really appreciate it

As great as cassette tapes were, commadore64 had a cassette player that hooked up to it and the cassette tape would have actual programs, games, and audio that ran off the cassette tape, that's what I meant by cassettes, but tapes were great. I actually just sold yes sold, my boombox 3 years ago to a friend just cause he saw it and wanted it. Unfortunately, A tracks were around when I was alive but I had no care for music at that age. I wish I still had all my vinyl as it had such a unique sound but digital is the way for me as I can have my whole music collection on the size of a tic tac box and have the best quality sound. As for support, I just do onto others as I would want to be done onto me but you are very welcome, anything for a fellow Canucker!!

Richard - Yes it can be overwhelming. New technologies and functionalities are moving at breakneck speed. Younger folks have an advantage, as they grew up with it. We are going to have to up our game. Thanks for sharing.
