What every Affiliate Marketer should know about new FTC Disclosure Guide Lines.
I received an email from eBay today, I do promote eBay products from time to time. They sent out to all their affiliates new guidelines the FTC require.
Just having a disclosure statement is not enough anymore posted on each page and post you have affiliate links, you must add words like sponsored,” “promotion,” “paid ad” or even just “ad” next to each affiliate link.
On social media, you must add a hashtag such as #ad or #sponsored behind your affiliate links.
If you would like to read more about this subject here is the link. https://goo.gl/x70yYS
Just read this and thought I should share it with the class.

OK then, I have more to do! What else is new, huh? Thanks for this helpful info Rob! Hope all is going well for you!
I would have to say sponsored or promotion sounds better than ad or paid ad, but that's a lot of fixing lol Thanks for the information!

What seems awkward to me is the "beside each link" part. So if you were writing a review, I assume it would have to look like this:
"My recommendation, then, if you need a new Product X, would the either THIS (sponsored) or THIS (sponsored). If, however, you are on a strict budget, you may want to consider THIS (sponsored), or the ever-popular THIS (sponsored)."
That is going to look like garbage.
Agree and not sure what to do
Not sure if it is just for eBay were I got the email from and I do promote some from there are all affiliate links and what about banners in the side bar etc?
