Hi guys, so I just want to share this important information with colleagues here.
Over the past two weeks I have noticed that the activities of hackers and phishers on social media have really gone viral and increasing every day with several of my friends accounts on social media hacked especially (Facebook).
How does this work? (I'm not an expert, but I will attempt to use logic and explain this)
- They share a link with you using several "link shortner" and click baits on social media or popup in browsers.
- You click on it and then, most times they get access to your account
- The first thing they do is change your password and then immediately "lock every other devise out" which means when next you attempt to login to YOUR ACCCOUNT you wont be able to due to the changed password.
Then.
- They can either send message to your important contacts requesting for funds, ot
- Send the same link to all your accounts, where they can easily hack their account too.
- Or if it is your email that was hacked, which is worse, they have access to every sensitive information and subscription you have.
Several Facebook account hacked, and yes your account can also be hacked,
Imagine someone hacked your email, then gets access to your Wealthy Affiliate account (or other accounts) then immediately change your payment options, email and login detail.

We also use link shortners here in WEALTHY AFFILIATE but we do the right way, at least we try to promote what is legitimate while we keep our link short, but these guys, THEY ARE SERIOUS ABOUT THEIR BUSINESS.
My Advice Colleagues
When I see a site that look strange, I open a new tab then insert the "site name" then "Review" It really is as simple as that.
Careful about what you click on you also need to do research, when you see a link you too can do research
Check for "Https" and the "lock symbol" which means that your connection is secured
Yes you can sign up to 1000 accounts or platfom... to see how true they are then write your review even if you won't be using the account but best thing is to be safe.
If you sign in to any, I usually write my username and password down in a separate book, who knows, you may need to check back later.
In all BE SAFE.
