A Viral Video is Born

Ranking in YouTube, according to some experts, might be a good idea. -
I'm not one of them, so do your own research and ask them how to benefit from YT to improve the ranking of your website. -

However, I'm a curious individual and I've been researching on my own, always trying to learn the best way to do things without re-inventing the wheel.

Today I want to share something that I always wanted others to show me: how a viral video is born.

So sit comfortably and enjoy my slideshow and my story (popcorn not included, because I'm not allowed to post video for 60 days - rules are rules, right?)

My goal today was to create a simple task list, 6 items, and stick to that list until every task is finished. My first try, after 6 hours work already, may be a C... I can't figure out how to define a task that will take me 60 minutes and meet that deadline.

So I'm taking baby steps:

1. Find a viral video. Ask yourself why this video has become viral, what motivates people to share. Be inquisitive, share that video with FB friends and watch how they react.

2. Create a video. Or figure out how people have used other people's videos without getting banned. I used to be scared, but after being banned by Google for ever (read my blog) I'm free to be a happy outlaw and enjoy life.

3. I'm not going to bore you with technical stuff about video creation and edition. Let's stick to my viral video birth show and what I did today

• I recovered a video footage I used to create a FB ad for my wife
• I found an inspiring concept to communicate
• I set up a AE project and prepared the assets
• I planned a simple strategy to publish this project
• I created a FB page and updated my new YT channel
• I rendered the video and uploaded it to my FB page and to my YT channel
• I created images for this blog

It's not that difficult if you try to let your inner child take control

Well done. This video is from a Swedish diapers commercial from 2010.

As I told you before I published a copy on my wife's yoga page when she told me she had shared something and I noticed it had many million views, Well, Jesse James (aka qrwizard) grabbed the video from FB (trust me, it was not easy, and the footage sucked) and then decided to find the best available copy in YT. It was not easy, only 480 quality, but I scaled it up and tried to make it decent. I just added some text for my wife's promotion and it worked.

My intention is to show how I started this, show you the pages I created and the final video uploaded. I want to ask you to like those pages, share the video and start the viral process, and if it works, show you the results and update you of the evolution.

I might get banned, I guess it's unlikely, but I would learn the lesson that this outcome might teach me.

Now, if the video gets viral, I'll inject some money to take it higher, I'll improve the tags and YT SEO, and I might become the next PSY, a shinning star for 2 weeks or so...

I didn't get a satisfactory response when I tried to interest WA members to join me in my adventures outside of the box, but I won't give up. I'm a warrior, not a passive income dreamer ;-)

PS: I know some people will say that my advertising sucks. I've teamed up with advertising creatives (divas) before, but I don't learn by osmosis, do you?
