Yes, I feel wonderful as I look out through my bedroom window
at all those mini replicas of the Rocky Mountains lining my
driveway, slowly shrinking away into oblivion. Oh, the back
pain I enjoyed, building those creatures..Ah, the green
grass is still there, after all. Spring in Cleveland, Ohio.
"Green Grass" by Gary Lewis and the Playboys comes to mind.
The rivers winding through the "Emerald Necklace" of Cleveland's
suburbs flows through with a swift and speedy current,
free of that nasty seasonal ice. Everyone's happy about that..
the more it floes, the more they'll stay low.
Soon I can anticipate cleaning up the old mower for the oncoming
spring season..yes, time to get back in shape behind the old machine,
trimming the green of a new year. I can smell it now...
Yes, spring is here..and it was worth waiting for!
