Making comments on other WA members pagesposts, What's going on here?
I think its safe to say most if not all members of WA consider it a wonderful platform to build an on-line business as we all try to carve out an entrepreneurship into the future.
I for one could use many superlatives to describe my positive and uplifting experience here since I joined.
There is however one issue that really bugs me and that is this whole area of "the give and take of comments on website posts and pages.
This is all part and partcel of the official training routine yet in my experience its not utilised in the proper manner.
Just this past week I've left 12 comments on members posts and or pages and only received 3 comments back on my site in return.
This is a reciprocal practice and for me its uncourteous and flippant to not "return the favor"
In an otherwise superb arena I would hate if my opinions became somehow diluted by this one practce
Please all members can we put this right...

I'm sorry that you had this experience, Oliver. So far, everybody commented on my posts and pages when I did theirs. However, I always let them know when I had left a comment and gave the link to my page so they could easily find it. Maybe, some people are busy at the moment because of the Easter holidays and will catch up once they have time again. But you are completely right, favors should be reciprocal and not a one-way alley.

time is a premium with all of us and we struggle to fit everything into one 24 hour period
maybe I wouldn't have brought this up if I wasn't a newbie and viewing comments as an integral part of a initial formation of a website. [Kyle mentions this}
I also do as you do as regards notifying people when I've comment made
I also return all comments and really try to get back to my commitments within a day With so many comments and lack of time, I keep a separate log rather than trying to go through all the comments again. Also, remember that some do this as a side to their day job and family activities so the ability to react can be delayed.
I keep a log and can tell you that there are some that always catch up and some that are only focused on one-way traffic.

I do the same, jot down anything I'm falling behind on [especially returning website comments] and get to it when time allows me to do so.

I try to add comments to as many people’s blog posts and try to reply to anyone who comments on my posts. Sometimes there is no reply to be said but I always like the comment.
I think time is a big issue for people here.

I try to return all comments I get by giving one in return. Actually, I try to give more than I receive. Looks like you do also. But sometimes one can slip through on that give and take comment thread - it is pretty busy. - Shirley

Hey Oliver,
Since the Give and Take thread was created we've come out with a platform called "SiteComments". You can find this in the main menu under "SiteRubix" on the left.
In the SiteComments platform you can leave comments and generate credits, then you can request comments for yourself from the community. The platform works great because you will get the comments you request.

yes I've used this
when I tried this I clicked on the "offer comments" button
left two comments on two different website and then clicked "request comments" the system said "you do not have enough credits"
I assume its 1 credit = 1 offered comment?
also in the my "comment history" box it says 0%

Hi Oliver,
Sorry about what transpired. As far as the "Site Comments", you need to leave 2 comments in order to receive a credit. So, that is why you had gotten only 1. It's "leave 2 comments, get 1 credit". I believe that is the way it is set up.
