I made the First Page on Google! Let me tell you HOW!
It has been a slow and painful (to say the least) struggle in my efforts to get "noticed" and ranked on the top Google pages. I have been working on my sites for about a year now, and only on the last 2 weeks have really streamlined the process. I'd like to share my thoughts on how {I think} my site got on the first page!
My expertise has been as an SEO Specialist and Marketing Director for the automotive industry primarily. I have learned that there really is a specific SEO model that automotive websites follow that seem to keep them in the forefront. Basically, I had an idea to incorporate this type of SEO model into my own website to see if it could hold water. YES! It seems so, now that I see my Bartending on the Go site has made top billing on the Google ranks. Of course, keywords play a big part in how your website is found but along with that, having good SEO assists. I might suggest taking GEO Location into consideration in your <title> tags. For instance, in my bartending business, when people search for "wedding bartenders fort myers"- my site comes up 6th place on the first page! My title is specific for the service as well as the area I am located in. Of course, this may not work for product specific sites as my site is primarily offering a service with products and affiliate marketing secondary.
It's a guess, but after I played around with my SEO titles, meta data descriptions- my site moved up the GOOGLE ranks! Just today, I have received 3 calls for my bartending service and one was from Switzerland!
