How Does Google Feel About Content Created By AI?

I just wanted to share a link that I found on Google Developers.
I've heard different opinions as to whether Google penalizes content that is created by AI. This made me dig deeper.
As far as I can see, as long as the content is not spammy then they aren't too concerned about how the content gets created.
A friend set up a website with only content that he created using ChatGTP and he says that it appears to be ranking just fine.
