How Does Google Feel About Content Created By AI?
I just wanted to share a link that I found on Google Developers.
I've heard different opinions as to whether Google penalizes content that is created by AI. This made me dig deeper.
As far as I can see, as long as the content is not spammy then they aren't too concerned about how the content gets created.
A friend set up a website with only content that he created using ChatGTP and he says that it appears to be ranking just fine.
Unfortunately, only this minute did I realize that I forgot to ask him how long ago or how many articles that he wrote. My apologies.

I find AI most useful for generating keywords (they still need to be properly vetted), article titles, meta descriptions, and content outlines.
LOTS of factual errors and not up to date info in AI-generated content, but it is slowly improving.😎

For sure. There are so many legitimate uses and of course, it will only get better as it learns more and more.
I'm not happy competing with AI content but it is what it is. More research and my own human style is where I'm headed.

Thanks Stephen, it would be a bit hypocritical if they didn’t allow it. However I find even using AI you need to check the writing as quite often it is wrong.

Very true. I see a lot of awful abuses of it on Quora as well.
For example questions about monetization. Sometimes the answer will start with, "As a language model, I have no interest in financial gain..."

Haha, that’s classic. They are not even checking..
I am doing one trial to see what it is like. The writing is very stiff and little feeling. And on a personal note I don’t feel any ownership to the article. I don’t see how people can use this as a full time writing tool.

I heard back briefly from my friend. Long enough for him to tell me that he has published 100's of articles since December and he is next going to monetize the site.
He also said that every article is AI written and that the only additions that he has made was to correct erroneous information.
I asked him several other questions and he said that he will get back to me ASAP.
