Unless the person giving you advice is making money from their WA work, I would take everything you hear as "an idea" and not a fact. However, if the person does have evidence of what they do works, then by all means follow their advice.

I've re-written this blog here; Part two: Re-Blog Don't let anyone take success from you! I hope it's more clear, and less...aggressive.

I've read all these posts and will respond to each in time. I think a lot of other people here are getting confused and defensive. That was the posts point. I do follow the rules here, and try to be of the UT most helpful and respectful I can be. It was simply put here to let newcomers be aware of the dark sides to this community and the rudeness THAT have happened to me. Maybe I mispoke at some points because I was frusterated, but it was simply a vent to those that have tried to put me down here. Maybe I went to far or maybe I spoke the truth. If you feel you need to be defensive, then in there lies the problems I meant to speak of. Not trying to start fights or controversy here. Just letting those know again who've mistreated me for the reasons I state or the reasons you may think, that it's unacceptable. I don't promote my site for sales, only for an outlook to others that need help. And I don't mean readings from me. I meant content, development, and website advice. So maybe I was misunderstood. Or the replies could be exactly why I wrote this. Again. Not to offend anyone not involved in the first place so don't be what I spoke about. I'll have to reschedule a rewrite to point out exactly what I mean to say. Because no one should feel defensive towards this if they are looking to go where I am. Again, I'll reply and rewrite this blog to what I exactly mean on being mistrested for no good reason here. I admit I know I may have took it to far admitting my feelings and the activities but it seems like a few others get what I'm trying to say.
Thank you all for your opinions before hand, and I hope my next blog makes more sense then this one. And I truly apologize if you felt I was accusing you personally or you felt I was in the wrong.

I read this probably at least 3 times. The first time my reaction was simply “Wow”. The second time my reaction was “I don’t understand”. The third time was “ahhh, I think I might know what is going on here”.

Based on my interpretation of what you have written it seems to me there is a disconnect between what WA is and what WA is not.

First let me congratulate you on having 3 sites up and running within a month. I do question if you did it yourself or if the WA training may have had some input into your success. Maybe even some interaction with the community.

Now where I think the disconnect is. This is your statement, direct quote,

I too have moved through all the training. I stay for the Community and the assistance I get here when I need it. I am NOT here to PROMOTE. I am here to LEARN to PROMOTE. Those are two very different things. The distinction being I do NOT PROMOTE to WA Members. In fact it is against the rules you can find at this link Spam is a NO NO! .

I have been involved with Communities where members were allowed to promote to each other and I hated it. It was distracting and I found myself off buying things I had no need for. Things that were off track of my Business Plan and my Business Goals. Because of the rules here at WA I don’t have to worry about it.

I think the different too is “where” you are posting your links. Most people post them on their profile, in the Feedback Please Give Me Feedback on My Website or the Comments Need website comments? the give and take comment thread thread. Anywhere else you post it, in replies to “thank you for following me”, chat, “answers to questions” can be perceived as promoting yourself.

Occasionally, I will use my WA site in chat to see if I can help someone understand something better, but they are already a member so I am not in any way shape or form Promoting to them.
When Loes’ website gets posted in chat it is because they are all FREE tools, she isn’t Promoting anything either.

Your entire site is designed to Promote You and Your Products which is “WHY” people are not liking you doing it. You even admit in the quote included in this reply your intent is to promote yourself here at WA. Bottom line, this isn’t the corporate culture here.

About helping people here at WA, the corporate culture is one of “paying it forward”. I spend a many hours in Chat, in Private Messaging, and even in doing Teamviewer sessions helping people one-on-one helping to attempt to get them “unstuck” from something in the WA training they are “stuck” on. I haven’t asked for ANYTHING in return.

I agree with most of this last quote, except I might add, you can do anything as long as you follow the rules of the community.

I'm not really understanding why you would post this under a "success". So the gist is that you think the "grumpy old users" are jealous of your success because they aren't successful? Huh.

Hello Frame, thank you for this blog, I know what you are trying to make clear. And I understand that you have put a lot of effort into your website, like all of us have. And it is allowed to share your work with others, unfortunately it is not allowed to offer readings to random people here on WA. That's where you cross the line.
