About Not Putting All Your Eggs In One Basket
Recently, Jennifer announced that she was "divorcing Google," due to the income losses she and other people have suffered by the many changes implemented by Google without notice. These changes have de-indexed many profitable sites. PotPieGirl's response was to immediately begin diversifying her sources of traffic.
I prefer to blog about positive, uplifting subjects. But when you learn about these serious issues from knowledgeable, experienced people like PotPieGirl, it's time to pay attention and reexamine the makeup of your online business.
Personally, I intend to follow Jennifer's example and diversify my sources of traffic (and revenue) to avoid the devastation suffered by many people when they woke up one day and found that huge portions of their income had banished into thin air, compliments of a Google slap.
Thank you PotPieGirl for your insightful advice.

I like your name tag,thx 4 the follow and can you put the link to that particular article in your post? If that had happened to me without notice I would've had to take about 12 muscle relaxers :)
I'm curious, did you mean you like "profitbyjuan"? I've had mixed feelings about it, that's why I'm checking that I understood your comment.

I have came across her blog as well and read some of her concerns about the Google slap. Pretty devastating, but at the same time I see it as a chance for new comers to get into the game and not be completely overshadowed by the big "gurus". I think the changes were overdue by Google. They should do it more often. Change=Challenge=Chance
Very good observations about the positive side of a Google slap. Trouble is that if you have a number of successful $$$ producer sites, it would be very easy to be lulled into complacency and perhaps be too busy traveling the world while your sites continue to earn, to even bother with the potential of a Google slap. But I guess that's the point of your comments...the time to prepare is now!
