Man(people) are not to be alone. From the start of time, we were meant to be together; we are supposed to work together as a team. 2 heads are better than one!
It has been my experience that the readiness to work with other people and share openly can take a team or even an individual that is bad at what they are trying to accomplish to a new level, they go from bad to decent, then decent to good and good to exceptional.
The #1 characteristic of a great team is they listen to others on the team.

We are made to talk to and help each other. When we cannot hear the others on the team because of what we think we do not know is not worth knowing, we lose that interaction and never grow and cannot understand after a period why others are successful, and we are not.
