How Is Your Stress Level Today
Stress
Stress is something numerous people deal with every day. One new study stated that seventy percent of the American people demonstrate physical and mental symptoms of anxiety. Like seven out of ten of us are going insane!
Why:
- Our schedules are maxed out.
- We are continuously striving to reach a new goal that we really do not need.
- Social media helps make us believe our lives are terrible.
- Anytime we listen to the news the world is ceasing to exist.
- We question if perhaps something is missing.
- So often, there is a continuous tension and stress within us, whether it is fear or worry or some things in our lives are just not right.
So, how do we find peace when we don’t have any? Is rest a myth? Is true peace possible?

I try to be at peace daily. This my routine when I wake up I pray for a day full of peace and joy. When I am anxious, I stop and take a few minutes reflecting on how good my life is and I say a prayer of thanks. When I have a meal, I am thankful that I am fortunate not to be hungry and say a prayer of thanksgiving. When I go to sleep at night, I say a prayer of thanksgiving for having been blessed with another day to be thankful to having been able to enjoy another day of creation. That does not mean that that I do not have problems and troubles like everyone else but that I choose to be thankful for having had a day to Glory in my God.

Check the source, always check the source to make sure these things are really worth getting stressed out. Meditation could be another way of managing this condition or perhaps some classical music for a change of pace. Then again there is the go for a cold swim in the pool to change ones vantage point.
Great post, J. It bears reminding the importance of just 'being' and 'breathing'. Have a great weekend.
