Being responsible! What does that mean?

This is an excerpt from a recent post on my other website.

Recently I read an official blog from Linkedin that said the No. 1 word people use to describe themselves in their profiles is “responsible”. So if this is the buzzword to describe yourself, how many of us use it properly. I know almost every parent uses this word when making judgement on their children’s behaviour.
I know for a long time I didn’t understand what the word meant. It wasn’t till then that I realised that everyone is ‘responsible’. Most of us try to avoid our responsibility and try not to be responsible when our mistakes are about to be uncovered. Or, when something ‘bad’ happens in our lives and we try to blame someone else. When we know deep inside ourselves that we created the situation that led to the ‘bad’ event.
The process of ‘Karma’ or Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion or Einstein’s Theory of Relativity or Murphy’s Law all tell us that, in essence, “Whatever happens to us we created it”. So, we are responsible for whatever situation we find ourselves in. It is our response to the situation where we find out if we are responsible or not.
Now we’re back to finding out what it means to ‘be responsible’.

I'm not sure how to share a post from my website into WA, that's something I will take responsibility for and learn how to do. Until then, to read the rest of the blog post go to
