Hi Chaps,

Just said thanks to a WA for a follow and in the message I got to ask some questions of Angie and myself...here's the message (any questions/ additions I added to the original message will be highlighted in bold and italics). I have also highlighted the message questions I asked Angie in bold.

"Hi Angie,

Thanks for the follow.

Just checked out your website and it is fab!

Your a little further up the curve than so I think there is still hope for me ;-)

I hope you don't mind me asking, but how are you doing with traffic and just as importantly with cash-flow?

I am revamping my fledgling site after reading a post regarding using images found on Google and the potential issues. I'm almost certain I only used royalty free images, but best to be safe!!!! (Chaps, where do you find your best royalty free images? Does anyone record website development? Is there any software we can use to track our website development eg changes we make?)

My first months traffic is around 400 impressions (around 50% of that is me Googling my own posts. I can't help it lol!!!) and when the site is finished I am going to use social media, especially twitter, controversial guest posts and traditional media interviews to drive traffic. I think relying on Google is a limited strategy.

What do you think?

Recently, I did some analysis for a struggling online only business in the states, which was in a very unique niche and had over 1000 hits a day, but had very low sales. I think this was due to erroneous use of keywords. (It seems easy to find keywords that rank, but are they actually relevant? Does anyone actually search for them? Do they actually drive targeted traffic? Any ideas, in addition to Kyles and Carsons excellent training, chaps?)

Anyway, here's a recap of things we need to think about;

  • How are we doing with traffic and cash-flow?
  • Where do we find royalty free images?
  • Do we record our website development?
  • Is there any software we can use to record our website development?
  • What are our thoughts on using social media, controversial guest posts and traditional media interviews to drive traffic?
  • Are the keywords we use relevant? Does anyone search for them? Do they drive targeted traffic?

Lets talk :-)

And as always,

Take it easy and be kind to yourself

Phil :-)

PS To the WA member who wrote the post regarding Google sourced images as soon as I find your post I will link it and credit your brilliant post. Chaps help me out on this please! I can't locate it for the life of me.

I need to go back and visit my images as well--I remember reading that post not too long ago too--I will do some searching to see if I can help you find it!

Okay, I didn't read this!

Hi HowardJaros,

You mean the Google images stuff?

a Blogger with less than 100 hits got a $8000 dollar fine if I remember rightly.

Best to check.

Phil :-)
