Never say I can't
Yesterday, I witnessed something that stayed with me long after it was over. I saw a man with one leg cycling up a mountain.
It wasn’t a gentle slope or a casual ride. It was a long, grinding climb. The kind that makes most people question why they even started. Yet there he was, steady and focused, pushing forward one pedal stroke at a time. No audience. No applause. Just determination meeting resistance.
In that moment, every excuse we tell ourselves felt painfully small. We often say we’ll try when conditions are perfect, when we feel ready, when the path is easier. But progress doesn’t wait for comfort. It rewards commitment.
The man on that bike wasn’t defined by what he lacked, but by what he refused to surrender: his belief in himself. His mindset turned a limitation into a challenge, and a challenge into movement. That is where real strength lives. Not in flawless bodies or ideal circumstances, but in resilience.
When you have the right mind, obstacles become teachers, not stop signs. You may move slower. You may struggle more. But forward is forward.
If someone can climb a mountain with one leg, imagine what’s possible when you stop telling yourself you can’t.

Thanks for sharing Peter!
I have to sometimes remind myself that with 7+ billion people on the planet there are Many who have things much worse than me, physically, mentally, emotionally, economically...etc. So there is no reason that I can not find a way to succeed.

I love it when someone shares an inspiring story like this. It’s a good reminder for all of us. Thanks for sharing, Peter!

When I see stories like this and see what people can achieve despite obstacles. It really puts our own issues, not to diminish them, into perspective. Most times they are just a small bump in the road.
Totally agree. How we see things in our lives and how we approach them makes a big difference.
Thank you for sharing this. Consistency and a will to move forward are how anyone will succeed. We tend to be our own worst enemies and create obstacles for ourselves that distract us from moving forward. I myself am guilty of this, but I've started the new year right and continue to move forward. I've determined to make myself successful and stay consistent.
So true. We’re pros at creating hurdles for ourselves!
Love the commitment to consistency though.
Keep going, you’ve got this!”

This kind of resilience is really important. I was seeing 404 messages from my Travel Through Sumatra, Sightseeing article and nobody seems to be commenting on the article in Site Comments but I just tested the articles' URL and Google Search Console told me the post IS INDEXED. and everything is green. A live test had good results so I have a good post there. Just no comments on it. My resilience did get me through this indexing issue anyway.
MAC.
Honestly, this is such a great example of why resilience matters. You trusted the process, checked the facts, and came out on top.
The comments will come. Your post is already doing its job.
Keep going MAC.
Yes, I just found the comments this morning. Thank you. 👍
