“May the 4th be with you”

This has always felt like that moment when I realize I’m not just casually watching Star Wars. I’m living it…
Except instead of wielding a lightsabre, I’m wielding a laptop, a coffee that’s gone cold, and a suspicious number of browser tabs open.
To me, the quote is a playful twist on “May the Force be with you,” but it hits differently when I imagine myself as some kind of slightly underqualified Jedi entrepreneur. I’m not on Dagobah training with Yoda (although my posture while working might suggest otherwise). Instead, I’m learning the mystical arts of affiliate marketing through Wealthy Affiliate, which, let’s be honest, sometimes feels just as cryptic as the Force.
When I say “May the 4th be with you,” I picture it as my annual reminder that success, whether in the galaxy or in online business, isn’t about luck. It’s about training, persistence, and occasionally resisting the urge to rage-quit like a frustrated Sith Lord when your website traffic dips. I imagine Luke Skywalker staring at his analytics dashboard like, “I know there’s potential here,” while Darth Vader lurks in the background whispering, “Your bounce rate is… disappointing.”
For me, the humour lies in just how wildly I can overthink and dramatize such a simple phrase.
Suddenly, publishing a blog post feels like launching an attack on the Death Star.
Writing SEO content? That’s me trusting the Force, closing my eyes, and hoping Google doesn’t obliterate me.

And every time I earn even a tiny affiliate commission, I half expect John Williams’ score to start blasting in the background.
Wealthy Affiliate, in this metaphorical galaxy, becomes my Jedi Temple.
It’s where I train, where I fail, where I learn that building an online business is less about instant victory and more about not panicking when things don’t explode (in a good way) immediately.
The platform gives me tools, guidance, and just enough confidence to believe I’m not accidentally building the business equivalent of a malfunctioning droid.
So, when I say, “May the 4th be with you,” I’m really saying:
may your niche be profitable,
your keywords strong,
and your Wi-Fi stable.
May you resist the dark side of procrastination.
And may you remember that even the greatest heroes started off confused, underprepared, and probably Googling things they should already know.
Because if a farm boy from Tatooine can save the galaxy, I figure I can at least figure out affiliate marketing without turning to the dark side… I hope.
