For one sme (Small Medium Enterprise) business, one domain name is enough (save cost here).

To start a Business, always think from the very Basic.

Do we need a brand or logo or company name for our Business/Businesses?

I can answer this question for you:

"Of course, it is necessary."

To build your own presence online for any business(es) you need a brand first.

To have a brand online, you definitely need to own your own domain name.

Get a catchy one. Best is it reflects on the type of business you are going to brand so in long run, people will remember it very well!

What I would do to start a business apart from SEO tool search and all; i definitely would consider the following pointers below first:-
