Im an amatuere soccer shirt collector for the last 20 years , mainly my club Napoli I can tell you watch out there are a lot of fakes out there especially Pele and Maradona and Muhammad Ali
Good information to know. I wonder if you can state this on my site so people visiting will be aware. Thank you.....Pete
You are right sherp, but isn't it that there is fake of almost everything on the market? I have also a small soccer jersey collection, mainly FC Bayern Munich going back 25 years and some countries national soccer team jerseys from different world cups, mainly from my home country of Iran. I bought some official jerseys, the same as teams wear on the field and some that are look alike. There are always jerseys with different quality at different price ranges on the market, so everyone can afford to buy.
I just visited your website. The Pele highlight looks great. I read a book about his biography. Your article with nice pictures attached, was a great summery of that book. Awesome job, Pete. I will leave a reply on your website's comment section as well.
Im a soccer nut, Italian but live in Australia I support Napoli in Italy and saw in peson Maradona in his heyday in the late 80s, love the game
Can you elaborate? Some pointers? No matter what I do, I feel that I should be doing something more or different. Like I am missing something. Always looking for input. Thanks....Pete
You bet Pete - I had to laugh because it's always an ongoing thing for us....especially at the beginning of this journey. I clicked on your FB and some of the other social media icons you have and they led to nothing.
Besides building our sites (which is the main thing)..I'm always adding my posts to my FB, twitter, pinit and G+ as well! This is what I meant,
Ken
Interesting.....I post things everywhere as well....including, and especially, Facebook. But...I never clicked on my OWN site link. I will have to check it out. (another set of eyes works!) :)
Pete, The Brazilian most famous soccer player of all time, Pele's jersey number 10, worn by him in the 1970 World Cup Soccer final game, when Brazil won against Italy 4-1, was auctioned at Christie's, London in 2002 for $220,850. This set a record high paid for a soccer jersey, previously held by the English Sir Geoff Hurst's jersey worn by him in the 1966 World Cup Soccer final game when England won against Germany for the amount of $128,450.
With the World Cup Soccer 2014 approaching, I thought I peek into back in history a bit as well, and it's significance, as Sam Tea called it earlier.
Wow....Great Info. And, you gave me a wonderful idea. I will spotlight Pele on my site. Seems appropriate. Thanks. ($220,850.00.....hmmmm.....I wonder what MY jerseys are worth) :) ....Pete

affiliatesun , I agree with you, my issue is with people knowingly selling fakes for the real item
True statement. I am with you on that.
