Hi Paul, there is a 'move' feature available in WA. Once you get your new URL, you can move your old website to your new website which means your rankings etc. will remain the same. You will also get a message not to delete the old url for at least 30 days, so this move transitions correctly. Hope this helps. Edith

hi i have only added posts to my web site at this early stage it in the lessons it says to either write a post or a page, i am what a page is for? is it to organize the web sit

Thank you!

Pages are more for static content like your about me, privacy policy, affiliate disclosure and so on.

Posts are for your articles and will appear on your blog roll, most recent on top. As new ones are added, the older get pushed down the list. They are great for engaging your visitors through the comment system, etc.

Thank You i think i am getting it now lol thanks for your information and your time Paul

sorry that you was not ment to be there have a great day Paul

Create a page if you do not want comments and posts if you do...

Sweet thanks mate i need traffic so posts it is lol Paul

Hi Paul, I noticed too like Phil says, the page might be the "about me" and the "Privacy Policy", they go on pages rather than posts. For the reason Phil says. They are static.

Thank you for your information Paul

thanks for answer my question, i read your post on a landing page and when i get to that point i am going to look into how to build one thank you Paul

Your pages are for anything you want to be in the same place all the time. They often appear in menus, whereas your blog posts automatically appear on your home page (unless you've changed that).

Another use for pages is to create a Landing Page where you detail all the good stuff about a product you want to promote.

Then write blog posts targeting related keywords and point them at the landing page.
