Don't do What I Did
I got my website up, used long tail keywords for the title and started to write. It took time and I had researched the keywords for each article I wrote.
I was thinking that I would add the keywords and title, description and keywords later. I just wanted to get some articles in place. I would remember he keywords in the articles. After all I had a huge keyword list in Jaaxy.
Before long I had written about 15 articles. Great going.
Do you think I could remember which keywords went where? Or which phrases I had learned, or saved the original document with the keywords? Nope.
I now know that organization is everything. I now keep titles I am going to write with their keywords in a mind map. I am now using google drive to write and keep the keywords with the article.
I have been here slightly over a month and have now learned a very time consuming lesson. Add your site keywords as you write.
Now to find keywords for this article :)

All good!!! Better to practice these things as I'm learning WA so that when I understand WA I will have good habits in place. I do agree that pen and paper help me remember better sometimes. Thank you again.
Thanks, Patricia. I am JUST starting out, so I will try to keep your tip in mind once I figure out what you are talking about!
I had to chuckle at your comment here because it reminded me of me when I first started out at WA. At that time, everything everyone said went right over my head! :) But keep practicing and you will learn and be surprised at how much you know all of a sudden. Please read my blog, "Taking Names"by clicking on this link: http://goo.gl/WL6PI I would love to know your name. I am now following you. If you need any help, please let me know and I will be happy to help. You can leave a comment on my profile page if you have a question. I wish you the best of success here at WA. Don't worry! You'll figure it all out, I promise! :)
You will get it. I promise. What are you questing for? Send me a private message if you wish. Just curious. Funny thing about being here is that everyone is willing to reach out and help.
I am bad about going back to fill in the blanks. I made that same mistake several years ago and now I just try to do it properly the first time. I also find that in the end, I spend far less time doing it now than later.
NIce post.

I hope that I have learned my lesson. I am pleased to find that I am not the only one that has made this mistake. Thanks for letting me know.
Hi Patricia! Learning hard lessons can happen. But, learning them does only make it better as you realize what you need to do. It's good that you have learned this early and I'm sure you will never forget it again. :) Jaxxy has a place to save your keywords. When you search a keyword on Jaxxy and it gives you results, you can chose one by clicking in the box to the far left of the keyword and click on "Save Selected." Then you can go to the top menu and click on "Keyword Lists" and you will see your selection saved there. Hope this helps. :)
Still on the keyword search in tutorial, but so glad to know beforehand ANY organizational tips. Hope I remember. Where should I be taking notes? I occured to me that two computers might work.
Hi Steph! We meet again. :) The Keyword Tool here at WA does have a Keyword List also where you can save your keyword. You will see it when you click on the tool. I actually have 2 computers by default. I am a PC girl, but my son recently bought me a Mac because he said I had to have one! :) So, I have slowly been changing from PC to Mac, but I have both computers on during the day and I do go back and forth sometimes simply because sometimes it's just easier for me to use the PC because that's what I know. If you know Word, you can take notes there and also copy and paste pieces of information from WA to your Word doc. You can use any kind of note tool on your computer like Notepad for instance to take notes. I have been printing some things out that I want to refer back to and keeping those pages in a notebook near by. I also have blank pages in there to take any notes by hand if I want to jot something down immediately to remember for later. You can also use a Bookmark found in the menu of your browser when you're online. Here you can bookmark any page here at WA that you want to refer back to later. With Bookmark, you can label folders with names like "SEO," "Wordpress," etc. and put the page you are bookmarking in the appropriate folder. I hope this is not too confusing and it helps!
Wow you see I do not have that problem I could never write that many article that fast. LOL. Well I guess you will be great a finding Keywords.
Have a great day
Kymee
Oh my. But it's a good learning experience and the mistakes help you learn and succeed. Best of luck!
Exactly, oh my. It is a funny little story that has ground my website development to a temporary halt.

Sometimes I just my keyword list at top of the article and start writing above it, removing the keyword phrases as I use them. I usually write in a word processor but not always. John
You are definitely too clever for me!
