Why Does The world Discourage greatness?
One can't be great unless there are others 'below' then! The history of the world demonstrates that there are Power People and Followers. These Power People usually didn't have the best of intentions, nor the best interests of others in mind. That equates to pushing others down to elevate themselves.
Religions, cults, governments, have done this since the beginning of time! The vast majority has been programmed to believe that we CAN'T SUCCEED! We've been told that 'BEING A WORKER IS RESPECTFUL and SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF!' Power people need workers and through the years we've been told it's the honorable way to live.
That may be true for some, but what about those who aspire for other goals? They are discouraged. Even in school we are taught to adhere to the guidelines. Don't be discouraged and go after your dreams.
My life is completely different now. Yes, there will always be challenges but they are the ones that I choose. And the best part is that life is now taking me in directions I never dreamed of that are wonderful, because I sent the message 'I accept it all!' Anything that you do, that is on your path to what YOU choose and aspire to live is simply awesome! It's what you came here to do! Live an AWESOME life!

The world discourages greatness because people either see it as a threat or because it reminds them of their own shortcomings.
It would be nice if the most powerful people were also great, but that is seldom the case.
What is greatness? It is the unwillingness to hate anyone despite all the hateful things that have been done to one. You set out from point A towards your goal at point B, because it is the right goal to strive for. And you keep going towards point B despite the fact that you are being discouraged, ridiculed and attacked; obstacles are being thrown up, you are being pushed towards point C, or back towards A, yet you keep moving toward point B without hate or resentment or disillusionment.
I hear you, I really do. I hear this comment of weight and relativism as well. Like most things, people like to interpret. My seeking has brought me here with every intention to glorify God and not myself. I am trying to determine if my efforts will ever matter in the slightest.
When I think of great, I think of God. And for the rest, the peace and joy and love in my life, I am simply grateful.
IM success doesn't determine my greatness either. God's appointment is my only claim, whatever it may be. I'm still seeking. I believe I am on the right path here though, but more will be revealed.
Greatness is a value in life and to be great is to serve others not to enthrone oneself to be served.
This is a reversal of the existing oppressive regime that is centered for a personal individualistic attitude of seeing what life is.
